‘We try to follow Jesus in everything we do’

Nursery - Rhyme Challenge and Rhyme week

Nursery Rhyme Challenge

Dear parents/carers,

We know that learning Nursery Rhymes and beginning to understand rhymes really helps with future reading.

As in previous years we are challenging the children to learn and recite any eight Nursery Rhymes and when they are able to do this they get a special certificate.

We are also take part in “World Nursery Rhyme week” this year between 18th and 22nd November and more details can be found on:

https://www.musicbugs.co.uk/world-nursery-rhyme-week/

For this, a rhyme is said each day of that week:

Monday –  “Baa Baa Black Sheep”

Tuesday –  “Down in the Jungle”

Wednesday -  “Incy Wincy Spider”

Thursday -  “Row Row Row Your Boat”

Friday – “Two Little Dickie Birds”

We are enclosing a rhyme booklet but, other rhymes can also be recited for the challenge.

We hope you have lots of fun learning rhymes together.

Thank you for your support.
