Some of the Year 6 children were lucky enough perform in one of Shakespeare's most famous plays, a Midsummer's Nights Dream . This performance took place in the Contact theatre in Manchester. The children were amazing and brought down the house! Here are just some of the pictures from behind the scenes...

Year 6's trip to Ghyll Head, by Miss Percival

Year 6 have been on a residential to Ghyll Head which is an outdoor activity center nestled right next to Lake Windermere in the Lake District.Have a look at all the amazing things we did over our 3 day stay. We had such a wonderful time climbing mountains, canoeing and conquering our fears on the giant Zip Wire- even Miss Percival managed to go on it-screaming all the way!

EYFS meet reptiles , by Miss Allison

In Reception we had the opportunity to meet lots of reptiles including; snakes, bearded dragons, lizards and millipedes. The reptile guide came in to teach us about reptiles and their habitats. We were all really brave. Have a look at our pictures.

In Reception we wrote thank you letters to Father Christmas. We decided that we wanted to post the letters ourselves so off we went to the post office. The post office was great! We waited in line and then asked the post office staff if we could post our letters. We told him where the letter was going and who to. We then weighed the letter and paid for a stamp before posting our letters.

As part of their learning in English the children created their own jam sandwich and wrote a set of instructions explaining how to make a jam sandwich.

As part of their maths learning the children investigated the different colours of jelly beans in a packet. The children then recorded the data they had collected and created a tally chart. From the tally chart, the children were able to create a bar chart to represent the data.
