Easter Cooking in the Nursery, by Mrs Hall

Date: 30th Mar 2018 @ 3:21pm

We enjoyed making chocolate egg nests as a special treat.

We noticed how chocolate melted in the heat and how it then cooled back and then discovered where chocolate came from and how it was made.

We also discussed if you could eat too much of something you love! Deciding that chocolate was something for special occasions like Easter.

Where does chocolate come from and how is it made?

Reception Assembly, by Miss Howells

Date: 15th Mar 2018 @ 12:53pm

Over the past few weeks, we have been working really hard on our assembly which was all about how to be kind. We acted out the story of The Little Yellow Chicken, who has some unkind friends and explained that we want to be like the Little Yellow Chicken because she always kind and did things for others. We also showed how we can be a good friend in school situations by saying 'Yes' to helping and sharing. We are very proud of our assembly and will continue to be kind to our friends and family at school and at home.

Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to watch us :)

In R.E we are learning how to grow to be like God, linking to our Lenten promises which we made at the end of last term. As this first week in school is our 'smiling week' we have taken pictures of ourselves smiling and glued them onto a plastic cup. We have filled our plastic cup with soil, planted seeds and finally watered them. When our seeds begin to grow, the plants will grow to look like our hair! :)
