Physical Education

Pupils have specialist PE coaching every week. Through this we develop the six areas outlined in the National Curriculum. These are dance, gymnastics, athletics, games, swimming and outdoor adventurous activities.

The Early Years Foundation Stage children have access to outdoor play at all times. They have a range of ride on equipment; scooters, bikes and cars. They also have their own outdoor play equipment as well as games equipment such as hoops and balls to develop their motor skills.

Key Stage 1 children take part in games (fundamental movement skills), gymnastics and dance. External agencies also provide opportunities to learn different skills.

Key Stage 2 children take part in games (fundamental sports skills), gymnastics, OAA and dance. In Year 3 and Year 4 children get the opportunity to learn to swim.

Children need to come to school in their appropriate PE kit on their PE day.
