Olympic Science , by Miss Waldron
Date: 27th Jun 2016 @ 8:11pm
This week in school we have been learning about the Olympics , we linked this with our science learning. We were sent an email by the 'British Olympics Association ' who had decided they were only sending the athletes with the longest legs to the Olympics. They thought that 'people with long legs jump further than people with short legs'. We set about to prove them wrong and planned an investigation to do this. We measured the length of children's legs and then carried out a fair test to measure how far they could jump. We then analysed our results and we discovered that people with longer legs don't necessarily jump the furthest!
