We have six digital leaders from years 5 & 6. Throughout the year our digital leaders create an action plan and work towards achieving various 'digital leader badges', for example, safeguarder badge, techbician badge, educator badge etc.
The digital leaders attend meetings, plan and organise activities in order to support the teaching of computing in all classes across the school. Our digital leaders promote and heighten the awareness if internet safety in various ways, for example,
- Deliver an E-Safety assembly during our internet safety fornight, in line with national Safer Internet Day (SID)
- Run whole school E-Safety competitions
- Support the teaching and delivery of E-Safety through the use of the Project Evolve website
Our Digital leaders also attend network meetings each term with some of our local cluster schools, where they have the opportunity to share ideas, update their action plan and showcase what they have been doing in school. At the end of the year our digital leaders will come together with our cluster schools for an award ceremony where they will recieve a certifiacte and their digital leader bages.
