A group of children from the School council and GIFT team attended a multi-faith celebration of
Peace at Manchester Cathedral to celebrate the unveiling of the Gandhi statue outside the
Cathedral. Many faiths were represented with the common aim of praying for and supporting
peace in our City.

The children in Year 6 and the choir performed at the Bridgewater Hall singing a range of 80’s songs. The children had lots of fun singing, dancing and wearing items associated with the decade. The children also met the new Lord Mayor of Manchester - June Hitchen. Well done to all the children in taking part and learning the songs!

As part of our Science learning about living things and their habitats, we decided to explore the school grounds for microhabitats. Armed with gloves, magnifying glasses, observation pots, tweezers and trowels, we set off into the school grounds. We had a wonderful time looking for animals and minibeasts and we recorded our findings once we got back into the classroom.
